Over the last few months I have been busy with replacing some of the consumable service items. A full engine service has just been completed, which should be good for winter testing and the first few rounds. New seatbelts have also been fitted, as the old ones expired at the end of 2008 (Seat belts carry a 6 year life and is enforced by the MSA/FIA).
One of the main things that needed to be done was to move the pedal box assembley approx 2" towards the rear of the car, as this was setup for a driver 5"10 plus. This contributed to my problems at Mallory Park where I was not able to fully depress the clutch. This has now been resolved and I feel much more comfortable in the car. New items include an AIM MXL display unit, with full data logging, parameters include, Speed, RPM, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Throttle as well as longitudinal and lateral G forces and Yaw rate. I will be publishing details of the data logged results on the site after each testing session and race meetings.
Finally, somethng had to be done about the horrible green and white Skoda inspired paint job, The body panels have been rubbed down and will be soon resprayed in a more interesting colour!
