The 2009 Monoposto Championship season is fast approaching, with the first double header race at Snetterton on the 4th of April.

A lot of work was needed after the my first race at Mallory park in May 2008, I was unable to do any further rounds due to logistical and financial constraints. It was decided that I will concentrate on getting the car rebuilt over the winter months and ready for the new season.

Over the last few months I have been busy with replacing some of the consumable service items. A full engine service has just been completed, which should be good for winter testing and the first few rounds. New seatbelts have also been fitted, as the old ones expired at the end of 2008 (Seat belts carry a 6 year life and is enforced by the MSA/FIA).

One of the main things that needed to be done was to move the pedal box assembley approx 2" towards the rear of the car, as this was setup for a driver 5"10 plus. This contributed to my problems at Mallory Park where I was not able to fully depress the clutch. This has now been resolved and I feel much more comfortable in the car.

New items include an AIM MXL display unit, with full data logging, parameters include, Speed, RPM, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Throttle as well as longitudinal and lateral G forces and Yaw rate. I will be publishing details of the data logged results on the site after each testing session and race meetings.
